As the weather turns cooler, many couples may want to choose an outdoor location for their wedding. However, While it is a great idea to get married in the elements, there are things you should take into consideration when designing for an outdoor wedding. Just follow our little tips and you will have your perfect alfresco wedding, stress free!

1. Lighting. If your wedding is during day time, make sure you incorporate a touch of colour in your colour scheme. Since daylight can be very bright in all direction, an all white colour scheme can appear to be too bright and glaring. If your wedding is in the evening, make sure you incorporate some candles to create warm in the open.

2. Colour pallette. Try to stay within 3 colours when designing for your wedding. Too many colours will only spoil the look. Unless you are going for the ’smarties’ look, a bit of restrain when choosing your wedding colours can be very rewarding in the end.

3. Details. Add small details such as colour coordinated chair backs, napkin settings and cake flowers to unite the whole venue as one space. This does not only make the space look more refined and harmonized, but also make your guests feel at home with that personal touch.
