On 15 and 16 Dec 07 we held a series of three workshops on Christmas decorations. They ranged from traditional to modern, and from colourful to the pure and subtle. Each of our workshops lasted for about 2.5 hours, and all of our students enjoyed themselves thoroughly and finished their works on time.

Above. Morning session on the 15th. An arrangement of red amaryllis, purple vanda orchid, noble fir, pine cones and cornus branches in a glass container. A very colourful and festive arrangement. It is very organic too, as the cornus will bud and develop leaves in time.

Above. Afternoon session on the 15th. A traditional wreath of noble fir, pine cones and white tulips. A candle is placed in the centre of the wreath. The tulips are in water tubes. Berries of bittersweet are placed between the foliage to give more visual interests.

Above. Afternoon session on the 16th. A modern snow wreath with eucharis lilies, lily of the valley, pine needles, bittersweet berries, cinnamon sticks, white tulips and white orchids. A very cosy and fun arrangement to do. Flowers can be changed regularly as they are all placed in water tubes.
If you are interested in flower arranging, why not join one of our workshops? It’s fun, relaxing and can give you a great sense of well-being! Our next workshop will be in Late January and early February for Chinese New Year. Look out for updates on here or simply write to info@solomonbloemen.com for further information!
