The brief of this commission was to create a cosy dinner party for 10 at the Caprice restaurant in the Four seasons hotel. The theme was metallic.
The party took place in a private room in the restaurant, and since the room was small and decorated ornately, arrangements that are too big at the base was not an option. The way to solve the problem is to use tall and slim vases with flowers coming from the top, that way a feeling of luxury and elegance is created without sacrificing too much space.

The colours of the flowers too, is important. since it was rather dark in the restaurant, white orchids were used to balance the light of the room. To add to the atmosphere, low lying tea lights were used to enhance the cosiness of the event.

To match the theme of metallic, a long table runner made with silver sequence shimmers with the flickering lights of the candles. Roses dipped in silver glitter add to the refinement of the setting.

Other details such as the favour chocolate boxes, name cards and napkin rings, table cloth, and down to the cutlery and dressing plates, were also carefully chosen to complement the whole scheme. All in all it was a design of style and sophistication that is understated yet luxurious, and the result was a very enjoyable party.
