Above: A bouquet of Purple Vanda and green cymbidium makes a strong visual statement
The brief for this wedding was to create an outdoor wedding that is chic and modern by using bright colours. To achieve this, I chose bright green cymbidium orchids and sharp purple vanda orchids. Complemented by the simple yet interesting bird’s nest ferns, the result was visually strong yet blended in well with the natural and green surroundings.

The contrasting colours of the orchids not only provided an instant focal point for the ceremony, they also set the tone for the wedding as an exciting yet chic event.

The ceremony table was framed by two large arrangements in clear glass filled with cattail leaves, bird’s nest ferns and green and purple orchids. To add to the feel of casual sophistication, bunches of white orchids were placed casually at the base of the arrangements.
